At RBC Race for the Kids, convening charity and host Youth INC brings together charities from across the city that share the common goal of improving the lives of youth. Whether through athletics, medical assistance, literacy campaigns, college-preparedness and scholarship programs, or capacity-building services, the five youth-serving beneficiaries at RBC Race for the Kids all strive to create greater access to opportunity for NYC kids, regardless of their circumstances.
Youth INC is the convening charity and host of RBC Race for the Kids in New York City. Through a unique venture philanthropy model, Youth INC transforms the lives of New York City youth by empowering the nonprofits that serve them. Youth INC currently partners with 80 youth-serving nonprofits that impact the lives of 220,000 kids each year.
Over the course of tenure in our network, Youth INC partner nonprofits experience:
The mission of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (CFP/Fallen Patriots) is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Since its inception in 2002, Fallen Patriots has assisted more than 1,100 Gold Star children through the distribution of over $23 million in scholarships and other support. The foundation’s partnership with RBC helps to raise awareness and funds for CFP’s mission as well as provide holistic care for our scholars.
Literacy Inc. (LINC) addresses the literacy crisis facing children growing up in poverty in New York City- right now, 2 out of 3 children do not read on grade level. A strong literacy foundation is crucial to success in school and beyond. LINC’s mission is to effectively engage families and community members to support young readers in high-need neighborhoods.
MSK Kids, Memorial Sloan Kettering’s pediatric program, is dedicated to all children, young adults, and families facing childhood cancer. With specialized expertise and care focused on the individual child, we’re proud to say that more families turn to us for cancer care than any other hospital in the United States. And as pioneers in research, no one fights harder than our physicians and scientists to develop and deliver more effective strategies to prevent, treat, and ultimately cure childhood cancer—for our patients at MSK Kids, and for those everywhere.
Ronald McDonald House New York provides a temporary home for pediatric cancer patients and their families. The House is a supportive and caring environment which encourages and nurtures the development of child-to-child and parent-to-parent support systems. Ronald McDonald House New York is the largest facility of its type in the world.
