Cause

At RBC Race for the Kids, convening charity and host Youth INC brings together charities from across the city that share the common goal of improving the lives of youth. Whether through athletics, medical assistance, literacy campaigns, college-preparedness and scholarship programs, or capacity-building services, the seven youth-serving beneficiaries at RBC Race for the Kids all strive to create greater access to opportunity for NYC kids, regardless of their circumstances.

Event Beneficiaries
Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation

The mission of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (CFP/Fallen Patriots) is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Since its inception in 2002, Fallen Patriots has assisted more than 1,100 Gold Star children through the distribution of over $22 million in scholarships and other support. The foundation’s partnership with RBC helps to raise awareness and funds for CFP’s mission as well as provide holistic care for our scholars.

Literacy Inc.

Literacy Inc. (LINC) addresses the literacy crisis facing children growing up in poverty in New York City- right now, 2 out of 3 children do not read on grade level. A strong literacy foundation is crucial to success in school and beyond. LINC’s mission is to effectively engage families and community members to support young readers in high-need neighborhoods.

Memorial Sloan Kettering

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is home to game-changing research aimed at finding new and better treatments for children fighting cancer. Only 4% of the National Cancer Institute’s research budget is dedicated to pediatric cancers. That’s where the RBC Race for the Kids community comes in! 100% of donations help our doctors and researchers unlock the secrets of cancer biology and develop more effective and less toxic ways to help kids beat cancer.

Play Rugby USA

The mission of Play Rugby USA is to use the unique power of rugby to empower and inspire youth, primarily from under-served communities, to go forward and realize their true potential.

Ronald McDonald House New York

Ronald McDonald House New York provides a temporary home for pediatric cancer patients and their families. The House is a supportive and caring environment which encourages and nurtures the development of child-to-child and parent-to-parent support systems. Ronald McDonald House New York is the largest facility of its type in the world.

TEAK Fellowship

TEAK is a free program that helps talented students from low-income families achieve their potential. Through intensive after-school and summer classes, TEAK prepares middle school students to get into the nation’s most selective high schools and colleges. TEAK’s strong support system ensures that students thrive in their independent (day and boarding) high schools and graduate from college, ready to pursue their professional goals and positively impact the world.
