At RBC Race for the Kids, convening charity and host Youth INC brings together charities from across the city that share the common goal of improving the lives of youth. Whether through athletics, medical assistance, literacy campaigns, college-preparedness and scholarship programs, or capacity-building services, the seven youth-serving beneficiaries at RBC Race for the Kids all strive to create greater access to opportunity for NYC kids, regardless of their circumstances.
The mission of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (CFP/Fallen Patriots) is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. Since its inception in 2002, Fallen Patriots has assisted more than 1,100 Gold Star children through the distribution of over $23 million in scholarships and other support. The foundation’s partnership with RBC helps to raise awareness and funds for CFP’s mission as well as provide holistic care for our scholars.
Literacy Inc. (LINC) addresses the literacy crisis facing children growing up in poverty in New York City- right now, 2 out of 3 children do not read on grade level. A strong literacy foundation is crucial to success in school and beyond. LINC’s mission is to effectively engage families and community members to support young readers in high-need neighborhoods.
